Project Manager
Project Manager (x2)
Responsibility:
The Project Manager is overall responsible to manage a NEC project team consisting of J2EE/.NET technical architect, technical lead, application developers, system engineers and IT support engineers …etc, to meet project schedule, cost and quality objectives.
The project team will gather the system requirements, design, develop, integrate and implement large scale J2EE projects in the field of biometrics, identity management and security control. The projects are in Biometrics/Identity business domain, including: Biometrics ID Systems, Biometrics Access Control Systems, National ID Card Systems, ePassport Systems, Automatic Border Control, Airline Boarding Systems, National Health Insurance Cards, Elections Voting Systems, Prison Systems … etc, both in Singapore and Overseas.
The commissioned system(s) will be deployed in a highly available and scalable environment.
Successful applicants can expect to work in a fast paced environment with dynamic projects teams. The projects involved are high profile, challenging and offer good career references. Our development team is based in Singapore, but we have projects implementation in both in Singapore and Overseas. Project Managers with a proven track record can be considered for overseas project implementation.
In addition to project management responsibilities, the project manager will also have the opportunity to be exposed to:
• the pre-sales process as a member of a tender proposal preparation team
• participation in National and International Level Standards Committees such as ITSC Singapore - Cards and Personal Identification Committee (CPITC), Biometrics and Technical Committee - BTC), ISO SC17 and SC37.
Requirements:
• It is preferred that the candidate possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.
• Candidates with good foundation in technology areas such as Java, J2EE, .NET, Application Servers, Databases, etc. are preferred
• Experience in Project Management of medium or large scale projects using .NET or J2EE technologies will be advantageous.
• Certifications in Project Management such as CITPM or PMP will be highly valued.
