Position: ITI Hosting and Engineering
Senior Infrastructure Technology Specialist
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
· Proactive lifecycle management of key technology streams for the corporate computing platform (e.g. hardware, systems software, operating systems, storage) for AP-A IT Infrastructure team (with key focus on Data Center technologies)
· Support the proactive planning, reporting and execution of infrastructure growth over multi-year horizon through ownership of annual technology cycle plan
· Support Service delivery group (specifically Technical Project Management) to deliver timely and cost effective infrastructure projects and changes to ensure provision of corporately aligned and supported technologies
· Ensure strong alignment to other complimentary areas within AP-A ITI:
o Capacity Planning to ensure financial and business plan alignment
o Service Level Management function (in Operations Support) to ensure adequate levels of service are being delivered at an acceptable cost
· Adopt subject matter expert role for key technologies:
o Drive subject matter knowledge into Problem Management process through leadership of third level support activities, vendor escalation activities for system hardware, software, and-or operating systems
o Ensure appropriate engineering designs (including configuration and tuning configuration) to deliver optimal system performance, meeting customer Operational Agreements and Service Management objectives
· Facilitate constructive and demonstrative relationships with vendors and internal IT suppliers
· Provide technical mentoring to the local team
· Lead architecture and engineering aspects of new ITI projects with project teams to design best-in-class infrastructure solutions to meet the technical requirements of regional and global business
o Provides leadership to application teams to ensure architecture aligns to corporate guidelines and meets critical design criteria around security, audit compliance, performance and stability
o Designs infrastructure architecture and supporting processes to accommodate new and emerging capabilities and requirements that integrate with the overall enterprise architecture
Qualifications:
· At least 7 years of experience in technology solutions and design patterns
· Exposure to operational responsibilities (ideally including data center operations, Infrastructure production support)
· Experience of ITIL framework – including Change Control and Problem Management
· Knowledgeable in multiple system platforms or disciplines (e.g. Unix, Windows, SAN, web server, DBMS, middleware, virtualization such as VMWare)
· Experience in solution architecture and design demonstrating approach use of technology
· Demonstrate strong technical skills, the ability to learn quickly.
· Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communications skills
· Ability to provide creative solution to problems (thinking out of the box)
