| Job Description |
Finance Manager (Opportunity up to S$100k p.a.) Reporting to Finance Director and Financial Controller in Hong Kong and General Manager in Singapore
Assisted by Asst Finance Manager, Singapore and Accounts Executives and Assistants in Singapore and Malaysia
Primary Function:
Perform full spectrum of accounting duties including internal controls, corporate tax review, personnel and administrative duties including secretarial matters.
Prepare financial statements and management reports for use in decision making.
Prepares budgets and budgetary control expenditures.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Maintain general ledger including preparing journal entries, allocating of accounts code for payment vouchers, petty cash vouchers, purchase invoices, sales journals and ensure expenditures are charged to the appropriate accounts and cost centers.
2. Monitor and review cash flow and banking matters by Accounts Executive.
3. Maintain HQ purchases and current account and perform inter company billings reconciliation.
4. Prepare supporting monthly accounts schedules other than those prepare by Accounts Assistant including Advertising and Promotions provision schedules, provision of account schedules.
5. Analyze and prepare monthly expenditures schedules including rental, salaries etc.
6. Maintain fixed assets registry and policy. Conduct yearly fixed assets count.
7. Handles appropriate tax forms and government statistics reports.
8. Oversee the work of Accounts Assistants.
9. Liaise with company secretarial in preparation of director resolutions, Annual Returns, Annual General Meetings.
10. Prepare monthly financial statements including balance sheet, Profit and Loss statements, shops performance reports, sales by brand and mix reports, budget variances reports, past years comparative shops performance and financial performance analysis reports.
11. Prepare stock analysis
reports with past year comparative figures. Analyze the stock level for each season of stock. Analyze obsolescence stock written down value for each season. Analyze uniforms cost, damaged stock value and stock loss value against total gross purchases for each season. Assists in the preparation of stock take activity and analyze the stock loss at each outlet in term of quantity and value.
12. Prepare purchases from HQ report in term of purchase by brand and mix for each season and other inter-company purchases analysis reports.
13. Prepare yearly master budget and quarterly revised budget reports including Performa balance sheet, Profit and Loss statements and cash flow analysis.
14. Liaise with Banker and provide financial statements for renewal of banking facilities.
15. Assist external auditors at year end including preparation of audit schedules; consolidation accounts pack for HQ office group accounts reports, gross sales certification reports for specific Landlords.
16. Prepare tax schedules and liaise with tax agent relating to tax computation before submission to the Comptroller.
17. Prepare and submit quarterly GST submission.
18. Assist yearly internal audits check, explain and discuss the current procedures with Hong Kong Internal Auditors. Implement and carry out changes if necessary.
19. Perform any other related duties as assigned by superior.
Minimum Requirements
• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Total 4-6 years relevant accounting experience, including 1-2 years in audit andor accounting firm or those with MNC experience preferred.
• Well versed in MS Office and Oracle or similar software.
• Remuneration package depends on experience and qualification.
• Able to start by 1st or 2nd week of August 2007.
