Qualifications / Skills
Diploma in any discipline
At least 2 years working experience in an administrative role
Excellent organizational skills
Able to co-ordinate multiple projects at the same time
Administrative experience in a newspaper/magazine/journal publishing environment an asset
Able to deliver high quality work under pressure of multiple editorial project deadlines
Time management and deadline-oriented: multi-tasking skills essential
Proactive and able to work independently
MS Word/Exel
Web savvy
Good written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities
Co-ordinate the placement of advertising/advertorials for three publications
Liaise with offices throughout the region to obtain advertising materials
Generate pagination plans for the publications and manage filler pages with house ads
Liaise with publishers and content providers to requisition of content files for journals
Liaison with editorial board members (for article selection, peer review, renewal and appointment of editorial board members, follow up on commissioned articles)
Liaison with Business teams
Prepare and circulate forward editorial schedule to business teams
Co-ordinate and liaise with accounting department regarding content usage from 3rd party sources
