| Job Description |
Investment Counselor KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1)Work with Advisory team to collate expert views and advice on investment and present a consistent one-view on a regular basis to sales staff.
2)Prepare investment portfolio review report for Priority Banking clients to ensure delivery of professional standard in the advisory engagement process.
3)Assist in analysis of competitive environment eg. product offerings, implementing Group and Country investment products strategies and implementing compliance and regulatory standards through appropriate training and disclosure standards (Wealth Advisory Process).
4)Assist in publishing investment publications for staff and clients when required.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
1)A recognized university degree.
2)Strong investment knowledge on equities, structured products, treasury products, preferably with CFA or postgraduate finance qualification.
3)Comprehension of regulatory issues on investment services - Securities and Futures Act (SFA) and Financial Advisors Act (FAA).
4)Effective oral and written communication skills, able to deal effectively with people at all levels (internal and external), in difficult and complex situations.
5)Able to conduct training and presentation on investment topics.
6)Able to process diverse investment and market views to offer a concise and consolidated view of events so as to give the appropriate recommendation and guidance to sales staff.
7)Competent in structuring and recommending investment portfolios for clients.
8)Make effective business decisions independently, based on sound financial and business principles.
