| Job Description |
Finance Manager - Jurong ( $5K - $6K ) Duties and Responsibilities
Actively involve and support all companies in the formulation and development of strategic plans, including provision of performance and trend analysis, investment analysis and financial updates both locally and regionally
Manage all the companies’ treasury activities, locally and regional, to support operating needs and investment requirements including recommendation of hedging strategies
Manage the monthly closure of management accounts, locally and regionally, to ensure completion of required management reporting and submission of full analysis, covering bank balance, account payable and receivables, balance sheet, profit and loss, ledgers, etc.
Lead in the annual budget process for all companies and preparation for Management and Board presentation
Lead in the analysis of any business development, investment, business collaboration and oversea investment initiatives
Initiate periodical evaluation of the performance of any business units, investment assets, overseas ventures, etc
Liaise with various government bodies, locally and regionally, on all tax, accounting and reporting requirements.
Job Description
Formulate, manage and conduct necessary audits, locally and regionally, to ensure a full
compliance with audit, tax and statutory/government requirements of all companies.
Ensure compliance with group policies and instructions including internal controls.
Development of a productive and competent team to support all operating units requirements and business growth
Develop and review all local and regional business contracts and agreements including liaising closely with appointed legal counsel
Fulfill any other duties as and when assigned by the Management.
Person Specifications
A good degree in accountancy
CPA/CA qualification is preferred
More than 5 years of working experience in a similar capacity, especially in Shipping industry
Experience in taxation, statutory/government requirements/reporting and audit requirements in major Asia Pacific countries
Experience in supervising a team of support staff
Proven track record of strong financial reporting for inter-companies and consolidated accounts
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Resourceful, driven, team player and detail-oriented
Work well under pressure
Able to work independently
Discreet in handling confidential information
Hands-on, driven and focused with vision to thrive well in a service-oriented organization
IT savvy
