Regional EHS Manager
Our client, European based MNC, is a leading Global Manufacturer of Specialised Industrial Products. Their head office in JURONG INDUSTRIAL AREA currently has an opening for the position of EHS Manager.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Work Location: Jurong
Work Days: 5 Days
Transport: Provided
Responsibilities
- To manage and develop the Group EHS Management System in the Asia Pacific Region in accordance with the principles and guidance of the Group EHS Management.
- To work closely with business unit management to eliminate workplace hazards and mitigate risks and minimise negative environmental impacts.
- To ensure local compliance with the group EHS policy and EHS Standards as well as with legal and other requirements.
- To support the local units in adequate EHS incident reporting, analysis and corrective action and actively participate in group activities for dissemination of best practices.
- To monitor EHS performance and provide status reports for review by the group EHS management and Asia-Pacific leadership.
- To promote a zero tolerance of unsafe practice through challenge and support where issues are identified.
Requirements:
- Degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or technically/scientifically related higher Degree.
- MOM Registered WHSO.
- Min 8 years of relevant experience with industry and operations support.
- Documented knowledge in and experience with ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 or similar required.
- International experience and EHS audit training.
- Excellent leadership and training skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills and proven problem solving skills.
- Must have high integrity and be able to perform well under pressure.
- Singaporean and PR only.
