| Job Description |
Network Engineer - CNA (Certified Network Analyst)
Tasks:
· Configure and maintain router configurations
· Manage and implement customer-initiated change requests for Internet and Extranet changes
· Plan, schedule, communicate and implement new WAN technologies
· Participate in Global change control to communicate network changes and implementation plan/schedule
· Participate in implementation planning meetings
· Ensure standards are implemented, assist in development of best in class processes
· Create and maintain up to date logical network documentation
· Provide technical documentation to next level support
· Provide training to other staff members for new technologies
· Provide operational support whenever necessary to resolve infrastructure problems
· (Intranet/Extranet Router, Data Center LAN switch, Firewall)
· Respond promptly to out of hours support requests (e.g. 15 minute callback)
· Provide leadership role in problem correction situations (be the example)
· Perform lead CNA role during business hours, working with other global CNAs as necessary
· Work with circuit providers to provision circuits (with NOC personnel)
· Understand and implement current Ford strategies and solutions
· Work with planning to provide detailed implementation, verification and back out plans on infrastructure changes to the global change control committee
· Understand Regional customer requirements and share that knowledge with all CNA team members
Education / Certification:
BS in a related technical field; degree level qualification in computer science or related discipline
Certifications in CCNA/CCNP/ CCDA or equivalent work experience
Experiences:
Strong technical and working knowledge experience related to Checkpoint firewalls, EIGRP, OSPF, ATM and BGP, Cisco router and switch equipment
Broad exposure to many networking related technologies such as firewalls, content switching, access control lists, DNS, VOIP, VideoOIP, etc.
