Service Engineer
Job
Provide technical support and training either directly to the overseas customers or the appointed dealers/agents after being trained by the specifed Original Equipment Manufacturers
Operates from the head office in Singapore and shall be responsible for the development , management, control, tracking and update of all product related technical matters such as product upgrade, product recall, warranty as well as post warranty claims, failure reporting, investigation and corrective actions and release of technical bulletins as and when required .
On standby basis to answer to any technical enquiry and if need be, may be required to travel on very short notice to the site to respond to major equipment breakdown or technical faults.
Required to support the sales and marketing team in promoting the products to the prospective customers. This involves conducting product demonstration, product presentation and to prepare tender proposals.
Provide constructive feedback and recommendation to the OEMs so as to improve and enhance the product image, reliability and value for money to the customers on a regular basis
Prepare simplified training materials based on all the technical manuals and info acquired through the OEMs. These training materials shall be used as a guide to train the workshop mechanics and equipment operators.
Job requirement
Degree/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Diploma in Automotive Engineering
Min 5 years' related experience as Service Manager or Engineer in a truck dealership preferably in heavy duty trucks and/or construction equipments
Those with practical experience in repairs of heavy duty trucks and escavators will be is an advantage
Ability to conduct training for technicians
Prepare to travel and work in the field including off-road work sites
Ability to speak Mandarin and with good inter-personal skill
