Salvage Master
Job Description:
The Salvage Master will play an important role in the emergency response and project activities of the company.
Your are project responisble on site and are the "spider in the web" between office, shop owner,(local) autorities,
insurers, other third parties and salvage team. Your tasks will include:
• to carry out feasibility studies often within a short period
• to translate feasibility studies into method statments
• to identify and plan the need for equipment and manpower
• to carry out risk assessments of the operation in all areas
• to coordinate salvage operation on a daily basis and keep all parties involved informed on the status of the
project by means of written reports
• to lead, coach and stimulate the salvage team under all circumstances.
• to represent the company with parties involved
• to evaluate projects from an operational perspective
• to negotiate, acquire and oversee contracts through to completion
Job Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Maritime Education or a technical marine-oriented study
• Min 3 years management experience in the maritime industry or seagoing position
• Strong communication and motivation skills
• Structured and analytical with a pragmatic approach
• Enthusiasm and drive
• Managerial skills
• Knowledge of MS Office and MS Project

• You must be self motivated and used to working individually as well as part of the team, putting an honour in
meeting dealines and exceeding the expectations of clients and the organisation.
• You are analytical, work in a structured way, and able to remain focused on the critical path in complex and
detailed issues.
• You can manage to stay calm and focused despite being put under pressure.
• You can cooperate and communicate on various levels in and outside the organisation.
• Finally you have a flexible attitude and you can easily switch between diff aspects of the position.
• Your command of lauguage is Engish (spoken and writen), a second lauguage is also preferred.
• The position require (unpredictable) travelling on a frequent basis.
