Director of Projects
Our client is an established country club looking for fun loving and dynamic individuals who are keen to contribute to their unique mission of bonding and engaging members
Reporting to the General Manager / Secretary of the Club, the Director of Projects will be responsible to direct and oversee the management of all aspects of the Clubhouse development; management of the Clubhouse facilities such as engineering and maintenance; and renovation and repair works, etc., according to the policies and directions set by the Project and Redevelopment Committee and House Committee.
His responsibilities include but not limited to:
Represent the Club as its principal liaison officer to the various parties involved in the projects and facilities such as government agencies, architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, etc. during construction and post-construction activities.
Render necessary assistance in preparation of design brief, evaluation of proposals and tenders, and appointing architects, consultants and contractors in compliance with Club's security, audit procedures and policy.
Update project schedule and its related cost; monitoring contracts for compliance, perform quality control inspections to ensure adherence to contract specifications and industry standards and provide necessary plans on problems faced, deviation in design and expenditure from design development stage to completion of works, including all dispute resolution and finalization of project accounts
Lead the consultant team to ensure that the projects are carried out according to the Clubâ€™s design brief and specification; ensuring proper tendering procedures, awarding of contract, supervision of works and compliance with authorities requirements are adhered to.
Lead and supervise the construction team to ensure that all works completed meet the stipulated quality standard; ensuring payment certificates are made only for works that are completed, and its balance released only upon the defects are satisfactorily rectified during the maintenance period.
Responsible for the annual operating and capital budget planning and provide fiscal direction to the business units.
Manage infrastructure development projects from conceptual planning to completion, to achieve best result in design, time, cost and quality.
Planning, budgeting, implementing and monitoring overall facilities development, to align with the Clubâ€™s initiatives including overseeing the facilities expansion, development and upgrading from design and planning to implementation completion
Ensures the respective project reconfiguration outcomes are aligned with overall master plan ensuring development and management of facilities space utilization.
Review and set design standard for improvement of overall ambience and quality of the built environment.
Co-ordinate and support golf course projects together with the Director of Agronomy and relevant golf course consultants to ensure the accurate recording of all documentation in accordance with club policies and procedures and guidelines set by the relevant committees.
