Drafter

DESCRIPTION

Our client is a global offshore contractor with a modern and versatile fleet of offshore support and construction vessels, coupled with an extensive record of offshore engineering solutions for the entire oilfield lifecycle.

- To provide drafting support for Tenders, Projects and Engineering studies.

- 2D and 3D modelling using Autocad R14 software for drawings and sketches related to marine operations, structural assemblies, equipment and vessels.

- Prepares detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specifications and verbal instructions.

- Prepares story boards for work procedures and tenders.

- Amends drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings.

- Lays out and draws charts, graphs, and diagrams based on detailed information supplied by drafting supervisor or engineers.

- Obtains understanding of assignments including special requirements and schedules for completion.

- Coordinates with drafting supervisor and liaise with engineer-in-charge, as needed.

- Uses recognized systems of symbols, legends, shading and lines specific to drawings.

- Familiar with drafting and checking procedures and applicable drafting standards.
