DESCRIPTION

They design, manufactures and services technologically sophisticated systems and products such as subsea production and processing systems, surface wellhead systems, high pressure fluid control equipment, measurement solutions, and marine loading systems for the oil and gas industry.

They are currently seeking a welding supervisor for their plant in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

Provide leadership and guidance to a team of leaders and welders in ensuring production processes and work flow meet workplace safety health requirements and optimise factory resources to meet production KPIs, stringent quality requirements and customers' delivery in accordance to planned schedules. Implement lean concept, continuous improvement projects and quality transformation in the shop floor to reduct operational costs. Plan and execute crew training, qualification and skills upgrading. This includes

- Ensures all welding, inspection and quality control of welded parts meet operating procedures, drawing and technical specifications and quality expectations

- Ensures proper documentation, data integrity and manufacturing process compliance

- work with cross functional teams to ensure timely delivery of production orders and optimise WIP management / housekeeping to maximise throughput using Lean tools and techniques

- Resolve and handle line related productivity, quality and preventive maintenance and safety issues

- Reduce PONC with systematic and periodic analysis of non-conformances and implementing corrective and preventive actions to fix the issues

- Identify, handle and resolve all line capacities / constraints

- Ensure and uphold safety, discipline and housekeeping compliance at work area by all crew

To conduct regular tool box meeting with crew on operational related issues and FMC core values

- Perform on going audit to ensure correct welding parameters as per welding procedure specification is being used by all welders

- Provide support, direction and assistance to all welders on all areas of their assigned duties.
