This role reports to the University Campus Infrastructure, Campus Asset Management Division, Asset Enhancement section and is responsible for ensuring a well-maintained campus for the community to enjoy.
Often working behind the scenes, the Asset Enhancement section provides 24/7 maintenance support to serve the large campus community as well as drives sustainable resource management within the campus. Asset Enhancement leverages on innovative solutions, tested technologies and reliable service partners to meet stakeholder needs while managing rising costs. Regular dialogues with industry and government agencies as well as research project collaborations keep the staff in tune with best practices in sustainability, reliability and customer care.Job Description
The potable and NEWater on National University of Singapore (NUS) campuses, namely Kent Ridge Campus, Bukit Timah Campus, and University Town, are served by networks of underground pipes, owned and maintained by NUS. This role will be part of the team to manage the network.
Manage the operations and maintenance of break tanks and service reservoirs and all water supply infrastructureMonitor the conditions of underground distribution pipes, including tracing leaks, repairs supervision, etc.Manage and supervise contractors on site Facilitate site works on pipe repairs, water sample tests, etcAssist in upgrading works for the pumping and plumbing systemsOther duties as assigned by leadershipQualifications
Minimum Diploma (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering specialising in plumbing works. Added advantage is given to those who has exposure to water distribution system upgrading.
