Job Purpose
The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy research think-tank in the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. IPS would like to appoint a Project Associate, Field Operations, for its Social Lab department, on a yearly renewable contract. The role will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager in executing fieldwork duties for research projects. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a team of interviewers, ensuring high-quality and timely data collection via face-to-face/door-to-door and computer-assisted telephone interviews, using structured questionnaires.Job Description
• Assisting Project Manager in setting up the project
• Providing support in project coordination for fieldwork
• Recruiting, training, and leading interviewers to complete the fieldwork on time
• Briefing and monitoring interviewers on fieldwork projects
• Ensuring data and fieldwork quality control at the source
• Managing resources to ensure the completion of projects in a timely manner
• Checking for accuracy and acceptability of data collected before preparing payment to interviewers and/or recruitersQualifications
• Proven interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
• Skilled in team motivation and team leadership
• Ability to cope with pressure and tight timelines
• Willingness to travel and monitor surveys interview process
• Experience in fieldwork operations would be an advantage
• Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
• Competent in English and one or more of the following languages – Chinese, Malay, or Tamil
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent
