Roles & Responsibilities:
Job Description:
Our Health Care Assistant (HCA) will provide a high standard of postpartum care to our new mothers and infants under the direction and supervision of our Nurse Leaders. Our Health Care Assistant (HCA) will participate in coaching new mothers and their caregivers to train them to be competent in baby care.


Baby Care Duties Include:

• Assist in feeding of newborns
• Monitoring of newborns’ growing progress
• Cleaning, bathing and changing of diapers of newborns
• Ensure newborns’ Safety, Umbilical, Oral and Eye Care
• Guide parents in infection control and newborns’ safety measurements
• Monitor newborns’ temperature, feeding pattern, mental/physical behaviour, etc
• Assist in any other duties as required by the supervisor or manager

Mummy Care Duties Include:

• Guiding mummies in breastfeeding
• Guiding mummies in baby care techniques
• Monitoring of mummies' recovery progress
• Assist mummies in understanding and coping with postnatal conditions
• Assist in any other duties as required by the supervisor or manager

Job Requirements

• Possess certification in nursing or maternal or infant care or other relevant courses is preferred.
• Able to work 12 hours shifts i.e. 8am to 8.30pm, 8pm to 8.30am including nights, weekends and public holidays.
