Role Overview

The 3D Modeller will play a key role in supporting project delivery through the preparation of detailed drawings, BIM modelling, and coordination of design documentation. This position requires close collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure that all technical drawings and models meet project specifications and are delivered within established timelines.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves preparing, developing, and coordinating a full range of technical and construction drawings, including shop drawings and as-built documentation, using BIM and CAD software. The incumbent will be responsible for producing accurate 3D models and supporting the project team with design engineering tasks and visual presentations as required.

In addition, the position requires ensuring that all drawings comply with project specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. The 3D Modeller will review and validate subcontractor drawings and models prior to coordination, identify discrepancies, and raise RFIs where necessary. Close communication with internal stakeholders, clients, consultants, and subcontractors is essential to facilitate smooth coordination and timely approvals.

A key aspect of the role includes managing clash detection processes, ensuring that identified clashes are properly tracked, resolved, or escalated. The incumbent will also maintain detailed documentation of coordination activities, including clash reports, and oversee the exchange of BIM data among project stakeholders to support seamless collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years of relevant experience in 3D modelling, BIM coordination, or architectural drafting within the construction or interior design industry. Strong proficiency in BIM and CAD software is essential, along with hands-on experience in producing shop drawings, construction drawings, and as-built documentation.

Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of construction processes, technical detailing, and project coordination workflows. The ability to interpret technical specifications, identify design discrepancies, and proactively resolve coordination issues is critical for success in this role.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively liaise with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, consultants, and subcontractors. The candidate should be detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks while meeting project deadlines. Experience in clash detection processes and BIM data management will be highly advantageous.
