About the role:

My client is looking for a detail-driven Accounts Executive to manage full-spectrum accounting functions including AR, AP, GL, monthly closings, GST, and year-end audits. You will also liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents, bridging finance with operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record and maintain all accounting transactions
• Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and General Ledger (GL) functions
• Collaborate with suppliers and freight forwarders on import matters, including shipment discrepancies, survey coordination, and cost validation
• Support the preparation and timely closing of monthly management accounts
• Manage quarterly financial reporting and GST submissions
• Assist with year-end audit procedures, tax filings, and company secretarial matters
• Liaise with clients, brokers, insurers, auditors, and tax agents as required
• Handle general administrative and office support duties
• Process employee claims and reimbursements promptly
• Monitor and maintain operational contracts and related documentation
• Coordinate with customers, shipping agents, and terminal operators on operational issues
• Provide regular updates and reports to headquarters
• Proficiently use accounting systems and relevant software

Ideal Candidate

• Diploma or LCCI qualification in Accounting or an equivalent credential

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience

• Background in Finance (General/Cost Accounting, Audit, or Taxation) is an advantage

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software

• Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail

• Demonstrated leadership skills and capacity to manage diverse teams

• Knowledge of freight and vessel operations is preferred
