Company Overview

Maha Yu Yi Pte Ltd is a family-run bookstore at Bras Basah Complex, offering Chinese books for all ages and supplying schools and libraries with quality Chinese literature and educational materials.

Job Summary

You will support daily accounting administration and help ensure accuracy and consistency across invoices, payments, records, and backend operational workflows in a small team environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor invoices and follow up on outstanding payments to support smooth collections
• Record payments and maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting records
• Process sales and purchase invoices as part of daily operations
• Assist with bank reconciliation and basic financial checks
• Maintain organized filing of invoices and supporting documents for easy reference
• Keep systems updated and help ensure records are accurate and consistent
• Support general administrative and backend tasks to keep operations running smoothly

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Familiarity with accounting or ERP systems (training can be provided)
• Comfortable working with simple Chinese documents (e.g. book titles, invoices)
• Proficient in Excel and system-based tools for data entry and tracking
• Basic experience in accounting or admin tasks (e.g. invoicing, payments, reconciliation support)
• Able to work independently in a small, collaborative team
• Prefer backend, hands-on work rather than client-facing roles

Location and working hours: Bras Basah Complex, Singapore 180231 5.5-day work week (retail operating environment)
