Associate (Social Worker), Queenstown

Job Purpose: Associate (Social Worker) will be allocated cases that have no risk issues to support the Supervisor and the team. The Associate (Social Work) provides casework support and administrative assistance within the Family Service Centre (FSC) at Queenstown. The role involves assisting the Supervisor and team with allocated cases, conducting brief assessments and interventions, supporting community outreach, programme development, and volunteer management, while ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Casework

  • Compile reports on client feedback.
  • Assist with Home Visits.
  • Conduct brief assessment, planning & intervention for cases allocated.

Information & Referral

  • Attends to public enquiries. Regarding FSC services
  • Update records on community resources.

Community outreach

  • Assist with needs assessment of the community.
  • Liaise with external parties for publicity, networking, and community engagement.

Programme Development

  • Assist in programme development and execution And
  • volunteer management.

Administrative Functions 

  • Manage the nomination of families and disbursement of packages for various assistance schemes. 
  • Maintain an administrative system for record updates and perform regular data reconciliation.
  • Prepare reports for data analysis and management reporting.
  • Support in front desk duties.

Others

  • Undertake any other responsibilities and duties assigned.

Requirement:

  • Diploma in Social Service / Community Services or related add in qualifications
  • Experience in similar setting and background as this role
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and community partners.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail for administrative tasks.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Excel or Power BI or related data tools.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a team-oriented environment.
  • Diploma in Social Service / Community Services / related diploma
  • Prior experience will be beneficial
