This role focuses on shaping and executing risk management approaches for financing provided to small and medium-sized enterprises, particularly within asset-backed sectors such as commercial vehicles and heavy machinery. The position involves defining lending parameters such as approval criteria, loan sizing, pricing based on risk, and repayment structures, while ensuring that credit standards align with the organization’s broader risk appetite and business objectives.

A core responsibility involves conducting detailed evaluations of prospective borrowers to determine financial health and repayment capacity. This includes reviewing key financial documents such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports, as well as examining historical banking activity to assess income consistency and liquidity patterns. In addition, the role requires direct verification of business activities through field visits, where operational practices, management quality, and the existence and condition of pledged assets may be assessed.

Beyond the initial lending decision, the role contributes to ongoing portfolio oversight by tracking repayment performance and identifying early signs of financial stress. It involves analyzing portfolio trends, monitoring risk indicators, and working with internal teams to refine lending policies or adjust strategies to balance profitability with prudent risk management. Insights generated from market conditions, borrower segments, and portfolio data are used to support decision-making and guide improvements to credit products and processes.
