We are looking for an experienced Embedded Android Systems Engineer with strong expertise in Android low-level architecture and hardware integration.

The ideal candidate should possess deep hands-on understanding of the Android system stack beyond application-level development or testing, particularly across embedded platforms and hardware communication layers.

Key Technical Areas

• Android HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer)
• AOSP / Vendor layer integration and customization
• Android Framework and System Services
• Embedded Android platform engineering
• SPI, UART, I2C, or similar hardware communication protocols
• Secure Element (eSE), NFC, or secure hardware integration

The role requires strong understanding of the end-to-end Android communication flow:

Application → Android Framework → System Service → HAL → Driver/SPI → eSE Hardware

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, and debug Android low-level system components
• Work on HAL integration and vendor customization within AOSP environments
• Troubleshoot across software, firmware, kernel, and hardware layers
• Collaborate with hardware and embedded teams for platform bring-up and integration
• Support secure hardware communication and embedded interface protocols

Requirements

• Strong experience in Android low-level/system engineering
• Hands-on expertise in HAL development, integration, or debugging
• Experience with embedded Android platforms and hardware interfaces
• Knowledge of Linux/Android kernel debugging and driver interaction
• Familiarity with Secure Element (eSE), NFC, or secure hardware integration is highly preferred
• Experience working with SPI, UART, I2C, or similar communication protocols
• Strong troubleshooting capabilities across software and hardware layers

This is not a Mobile QA, SDET, or application-level testing role focused on App ↔ Backend/API communication. We are specifically seeking candidates with strong expertise in embedded Android platform engineering and hardware integration.
