Job Summary:

The Senior or Finance Executive reports to the Manager, Finance. He/she is responsible forpreparing the financial statements, maintaining cash controls and accounts payable to meet legislative requirements and support the Centre’s operations. He/she shall assist in the planning and implementation of finance projects in streamlining processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Update accounting entries using ACCPAC Accounting System.
  2. Prepare Financial Statements that give true and fair view in accordance with the provisions ofthe Charities Act, the Societies Act and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards.
  3. Oversee all financial matters to ensure proper utilization of funds, accountability and internalcontrol.
  4. Prepare, analyse the forecast and yearly capital and operating expenditure budgets as per the organisation's guidelines and help to ensure spending with the approved budgets.
  5. Prepare and liaise with internal and external auditors for statutory and statistical audits.
  6. Advise Operation on financial related matters; and to ensure compliance to Group Finance Policy & Procedures.
  7. Carry out Asset Management - Ensure fixed assets are registered, tagged and disposed with Inventory Condemnation Form and set up and maintain a system of inventory and fixed asset control and with yearly physicalstock take to verify status of asset against records.
  8. Process payment duly supported by matching invoices and approval for purchase/service.
  9. Ensure Accounts receivables and ensure receipts are issued for collection of cash/cheques.
  10. Monitor and reconcile Government Subvention.
  11. Monitor Centre’s cash flow.
  12. Reconcile monthly Bank statement.
  13. Ensure proper records of GST are properly maintained and tracked.
  14. Ensure proper accountability/tracking of pre-operational governmental funding.
  15. Assist in new processes and system implementation when required.
  16. Proactively identify areas of improvement and opportunities to drive and enhance finance operational efficiency.
  17. Back up other Centre Finance where required and to support the needs of the various centres and finance team members in the area of internal control and rectify problems where necessary.
  18. Participate in the design, planning and implementation of new projects.
  19. Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Qualification - Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or Finance or equivalent professional qualification.

Experience - Minimum 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. Detailed and meticulous. Possess strong organizational skills, able to multi-task, team-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
