Job Summary

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on wafer manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment, ensuring equipment reliability and safety compliance while supporting production operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance on wafer manufacturing (Fab) equipment following strict SOP checklists to ensure operational reliability
  • Inspect, clean, repair, and replace equipment components such as pumps, seals, and sensors to prevent failures
  • Adhere to 5S/6S and safety protocols while working in a cleanroom environment to maintain cleanliness and safety standards
  • Conduct basic mechanical, electrical, vacuum, and RF troubleshooting to identify and resolve equipment issues
  • Assist engineers in troubleshooting equipment failures to minimize downtime
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of maintenance activities and update equipment logs in MES systems
  • Manage spare parts logistics by receiving, staging, and inspecting components before installation
  • Monitor equipment performance, alarms, and indicators, collaborating with engineers to improve tool reliability
  • Support production by ensuring equipment operates within required parameters during shifts

Required competencies and certifications

  • NTC, ITE, or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics engineering

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience working in a 12-hour rotating shift system with 3/4/4/3 patterns and ability to support normal working hour shifts
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment wearing appropriate PPE (bunny suit)
  • Tool Types: Etch, Deposition (CVD/PVD), Lithography, CMP. Components: Vacuum pumps, Gas panels, Robotics.
