About the Opportunity 

VionData Partners is supporting the search for an experienced FircoSoft WLM Functional Consultant on behalf of a leading Banking and Financial Services institution. As a core member of the Financial Crime Compliance Transformation (FCCT) team, the successful candidate will provide functional support across APAC, Japan and EMEA. 

The role is responsible for system configuration, governance, operational maintenance, regulatory updates, UAT, production deployments, and close collaboration with Operations, Technology, Risk, AML Sanctions and Compliance teams. 

Key Responsibilities 

Watchlist Management & Governance 

• Manage the complete watchlist lifecycle using FircoSoft WLM components (FMM, WLM-API, WLM-Web, Resource File Manager). 

• Configure, validate and deploy regulatory watchlists (OFAC, UN, EU, UK HMT, MAS, DFAT, Japan FSA). 

• Maintain version control, maker-checker approvals and audit-ready change records. 

• Support list implementation through MultiLaw Manager. 

System Configuration — Firco Filtering Engine v6.0 

• Configure phonetic matching, fuzzy logic, scoring and alias expansion. 

• Calibrate thresholds and suppression rules to reduce false positives. 

• Implement risk-based tuning for payment and customer screening. 

Tuning, Simulation & Impact Assessment 

• Execute historical simulations using Simulation Manager (FLV). 

• Assess regulatory and threshold changes before production deployment. 

• Prepare impact analysis and simulation reports for Compliance approval. 

Release Management, QA & Testing 

• Lead UAT planning, scenario development and execution. 

• Validate watchlist modifications and release packages. 

• Support defect analysis, root-cause investigation and production deployment. 

Regulatory Compliance, Reporting & Audit 

• Provide documentation for internal and external regulatory audits. 

• Generate MI dashboards covering SLAs, false-positive ratios and list distribution. 

• Participate in AML governance and regulatory workshops. 

Candidate Qualifications 

Experience: 4–10 years in Financial Crime Compliance, AML, sanctions screening or Trade Finance. 

Mandatory Skills: FircoSoft WLM/FMM, Continuity, Trust, Filtering Engine v6.0, MultiLaw Manager, Simulation Manager (FLV), Stripping Detector, Case Manager. 

Technical Skills: XML/CSV datasets, API integrations, SQL, production support, issue investigation and release management. 

Regulatory Knowledge: OFAC, EU, UK HMT, MAS, HKMA, Japan FSA, ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT messaging. 

Preferred Certifications: ICA, ACAMS or equivalent AML certification.
