Key Responsibilities
• Work closely with Institution Lead, Group FM in building clear accountability, expectations and deliverables for the Fire Safety Trade team.
• Lead the Fire Safety Team on operational matters such as ensuring at all times that fire safety requirements contained in Emergency Response Plan (ERP) are complied with, and oversight of the daily checks and removal of any fire hazards found.
• Take responsibility for good contract management with regards to Fire Safety related systems with clear end-to-end expectations from governing authority (e.g. SCDF, etc) and management.
• Supported by the Fire Safety Team, plan and conduct fire drills for the occupants of the premises, ensure all occupants are familiar with means of escape. Provide training for Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) on first-aid, firefighting and assist in evacuation in event of fires or other related emergencies.
• Review infrastructure plans to ensure it enables resilient emergency response.
• Support the Emergency Preparedness division in training programs to support the hospital emergency preparedness.
• Support the testing of the hospital’s Emergency Response Plan, ensuring alignment of infrastructure and procedures.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on fire safety related matters to project managers or other operational staff.
Key Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering and/or related discipline, or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or related discipline
At least 10 years of relevant service and/or maintenance experience
SCDF-registered SFSM Certificate with relevant fire safety experiences.
