In the context of developing and implementing HPS solutions, the Subject Matter Expert (SME) provides business and functional expertise in payment processes to internal teams and clients.

The SME ensures an advanced understanding of customer needs while maintaining compliance with functional and technical requirements. This role serves as a key liaison between business and technical teams, contributing to the design, implementation, and optimization of payment solutions.

Job Objectives

1. Ensure support and functional assistance for teams to better understand clients business needs

• Ensure an advanced understanding of clients’ business requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams in drafting functional specifications.
• Assist in interpreting and conceptualizing information provided by clients.

2. Support teams in implementing functional specifications

• Ensure alignment between technical and functional specifications.
• Provide functional support to development teams during process and business rule implementation
• Contribute to functional testing campaigns to guarantee consistency between developments and client expectations.

3. Provide consulting and knowledge-sharing to promote best practices

• Monitor developments in payment activities (standards, regulations, technologies, and legislation).
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to payment solutions and functional processes.
• Deliver training and mentoring in areas of expertise.

Required Skills

• Minimum 8 years in functional analysis, payment systems, or solution design
• Payment industry: Strong knowledge of end-to-end payment processes, regulations, and ecosystems.
• PowerCARD solution: Solid understanding and experience with the PowerCARD ecosystem.
• Writing functional specifications: Excellent mastery of functional documentation and requirements definition.
• Data modeling techniques: Excellent knowledge of data structure design and logical modeling.
• Programming languages: Excellent mastery of C, PL/SQL, SQL, UNIX, and Java for functional validation and support.
• DevOps tools: Good working knowledge of Bitbucket, GIT, and Jenkins for version control and continuous integration practices.
• Client focus: Excellent ability to understand client needs and ensure satisfaction.
• Commitment to deliverables: Reliable and consistent in meeting objectives and deadlines.
