Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated professional for a junior-level Investment Manager position to join our Singapore office. This role heavily focuses on investment research, operational execution, and supporting portfolio management. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) and the broader investment team to support tailored investment solutions across traditional and alternative asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Sourcing, Research & Due Diligence

  • Perform deep-dive fund analysis and source new investment ideas to continuously feed the firm's investment pipeline.
  • Conduct fundamental and quantitative analysis across multiple asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, and structured products.
  • Perform company and sector research while assisting in building detailed financial models and valuation frameworks.
  • Monitor global macroeconomic trends, market developments, and their impact on portfolio positioning.
  • Prepare investment memos, research reports, and presentation materials for internal investment committees.
  • Support due diligence processes for external fund managers, alternative investments, and structured products.

Portfolio Management & Execution Support

  • Support portfolio management and execution workflows for bespoke clients and High Net Worth (HNW) clients operating within the model portfolio construct.
  • Manage operational and execution workflows, including portfolio rebalancing, direct trade execution, and trade blotter management.
  • Work closely with Relationship Managers (RMs) to ensure smooth execution of model portfolio strategies and clear communication of portfolio shifts.
  • Monitor clients’ asset allocation across investments and provide ideas for rebalancing based on the CIO's view.
  • Conduct performance attribution analysis and risk assessment across portfolios.

Investment Administration & Operations

  • Handle critical investment operations, primarily focusing on compiling and preparing quarterly investment updates for all VCC mandates.
  • Ensure all reported operational data is accurate, compliant, and delivered within quarterly deadlines.
  • Serve as the official Secretary of the Investment Board.
  • Collaborate internally to prepare, structure, and finalize the agenda and presentation collaterals for all investments being pitched to the Board.
  • Maintain investment databases, research files, and analytical models with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensure compliance with internal investment policies and relevant regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education & Professional Credentials

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Progress towards a CFA charterholder or advanced qualification is preferred but not mandatory.

Professional Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience in the financial sector.
  • Experience in private banking, portfolio construction, or asset management will be looked at favorably.

Technical Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in Excel skills with experience in Bloomberg, FactSet, or similar financial data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of global financial markets, investment products, and portfolio construction principles.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking capabilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
