Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to design and develop automation equipment and mechanical systems used in cleanroom and industrial environments. The role will involve machine design, engineering drawings preparation, and supporting the full project lifecycle from concept to installation and commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation equipment and mechanical systems for industrial and cleanroom applications
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings including fabrication, assembly, and machine layout drawings
• Manage projects from concept design through manufacturing and final commissioning
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve machine design and optimize product performance
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for mechanical design issues
• Review and verify engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements
• Liaise with customers for technical discussions, design reviews, and specifications
• Support machine installation, testing and commissioning when required
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards such as ISO9000, SEMI-S2 and related requirements

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical design
• Experience in automation equipment, semiconductor, HDD, or precision engineering industries
• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• Experience in pneumatic system design and pneumatic circuit diagrams
• Knowledge of linear motion systems and machine mechanisms
• Experience preparing fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and machine layout drawings
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
