Our client is from a MNC Manufacturing Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a NPI Project Engineer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the North area.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, including build-to-print and customised components.
Support RFQ (Request for Quotation) activities by assisting in preparing accurate and competitive quotations.
Translate project requirements into structured tasks for internal teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and accountability.
Coordinate closely with Sales, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and timely resolution of project matters.
Track project progress and first-article status, identify risks, and implement mitigation actions to ensure on-time delivery.
Conduct root cause analysis for discrepancies or issues and recommend corrective actions.
Prepare and maintain project reports covering status updates, risks, and key milestones for management review.
Perform data analysis and develop dashboards/reports using business intelligence tools to support decision-making.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and operational efficiency.
Assist with customer visits, presentations, and other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.
Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Min Diploma in Manufacturing Engineer/relevant engineering studies or equivalent.
Min 4 years’ relevant working experience in project management with NPI Process.
Strong communication skills and confidence in engaging stakeholders across different levels
Experience with SAP and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL) is an advantage
Knowledge or exposure to optics-related products will be advantageous.
