Our client is a Manufacturing MNC, one of the leading players in the Packaging Manufacturing sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Packaging Development Engineer to be part of their Engineering team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West.

The Duties of Packaging Development Engineer are:

  • Create, review, and maintain internal specifications (BOM/end-item) aligned with customer requirements, ensuring accuracy before production
  • Manage BOM quantities in coordination with Finance, Production, and Planning teams
  • Maintain and update system data (e.g. QAD/Alchemist)
  • Support troubleshooting of tooling, process, and specification issues, including customer complaints
  • Review and update specifications for new or revised artwork changes
  • Liaise with customers, internal teams, and external vendors on artwork requirements and printing plate preparation
  • Prepare colour standards for customer approval
  • Improve prepress processes and develop SOPs
  • Provide documentation and technical support related to flexographic printing and slitting
  • Support first production runs and ensure quality alignment
  • Assist with audits, stock take, training, and other operational or ad hoc duties

Requirement

  • Min 3 years of Prepress or Packaging Development experience in packaging industry
  • Degree in engineering related field
