About Us

Town Vets is an independent, stand-alone Small Animal GP clinic dedicated to evidence-based, high-quality care for dogs and cats. We strive for the highest level of patient advocacy through evidence-based medicine and contextualized care. We keep a low-volume, high-quality caseload so every patient gets the attention they deserve. Our team of 15 work closely together, with consults triaged and scheduled by our reception care team.

The Role

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our clinical roster:

4 or 5 days per week, inclusive of Saturdays — approx. 32–40 hours

Weekdays: single shift of either 9:00am – 5:00pm or 12:00pm – 9:00pm — no split shifts

Saturdays: 9:00am – 5:00pm, shared on a rotating basis across the team

No Sundays or Public Holidays

Shifts are rostered across our team of 5 vets, covering a mix of day and evening slots. You'll be joining an experienced clinical team, with support from Senior Vets and paraprofessionals throughout — and with no after-hours emergency duty, your hours end when your shift does.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based veterinary care in line with our patient advocacy standards

Communicate clearly with clients on diagnosis, treatment options and cost, supporting informed decision-making

Work closely with the wider clinical team to ensure continuity of care across shifts

Participate in continuing education to stay current with best practice

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • Eligibility for Singapore Vet Licence from AVS
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience — mentorship and support provided
  • Open to rotating across day and evening shifts as part of a fairly-shared team roster
  • Strong client communication skills
  • Comfortable managing a shift independently, with on-site nursing/paraprofessional support and senior vets on hand for input

What We Offer

  • No after-hours emergency duty
  • Continuing education funded and encouraged
  • Digital x-ray, Siemens ultrasound, IDEXX in-house lab (incl. urinalysis), capnography, IM3 dental machine, digital dental x-ray, vet-tome, tonometry
  • Separate cat and dog wards
  • Convenient location near Tiong Bahru MRT
  • Salary will commensurate with experience
