Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Construction / Structural Steel Engineering
• Position Title: Quantity Surveyor
• Working Location: Tuas
• Working Hours: 5 days (Mon-Fri: 8:30am - 5:30pm)
• Salary Package: Basic salary up to $4,500 + Variable Bonus
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and tender submissions.
• Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Carry out quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
• Prepare and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare progress claims, payment responses, and final accounts.
• Manage variation orders, contract administration, and project cost control.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project teams on contractual and commercial matters.
• Monitor project budgets, costs, and cash flow.
• Maintain accurate project documents and commercial records.
• Support the procurement of materials and subcontractors when required.
• Perform other quantity surveying and commercial duties assigned by management.

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in structural steel, steel fabrication, or the construction industry will be an advantage.
• Familiar with construction contracts, quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and progress claims.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and AutoCAD will be an advantage.
• Able to read and understand engineering and construction drawings.
