Job Description

  • Position Title: Sales Engineer
  • Working Location: Seletar (Islandwide)
  • Working Hours: 5 days (Mon-Fri: 8am-5.30pm)
  • Salary Package: Basic $3500 - $4500 + VB
  • Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain good relationships with existing customers while looking for new business opportunities.
  • Promote and sell the company’s precision engineering and manufacturing services, including machining, fabrication, assembly, and other value-added processes.
  • Understand customer technical requirements, specifications, drawings, and quality expectations, and work with internal teams to provide suitable solutions.
  • Prepare and submit quotations, cost estimates, proposals, and tender documents on time.
  • Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, delivery schedules, and contracts with customers.
  • Coordinate with the Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Monitor order status, delivery schedules, and project progress to ensure timely fulfilment and customer satisfaction.
  • Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and quality issues, and support corrective actions when needed.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and reports for management review.
  • Achieve sales targets, gross margin objectives, and key performance indicators set by the company.

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Precision Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of sales, business development, or customer service experience in the precision engineering, machining, metalworking, semiconductor, aerospace, or related manufacturing industry.
  • Good understanding of CNC machining, fabrication, engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, materials, surface treatments, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage assigned tasks responsibly.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in preparing quotations, cost estimates, and commercial proposals will be an advantage.
