💰Salary: up to $4200

🕧Working Days & Hours: Mon-Fri 7:30am - 4:30pm *Sometimes staggered hours, can start as late as 9am)

📍Location: Telok Blangah

Job Description:

• First Aid & Triage: Providing immediate on-site assessment, first aid, and treatment for illnesses or injuries occurring during school hours.
• Medication Administration: Safely storing, managing, and administering prescribed and non-prescription medications to students.
• Emergency Management: Acting as the primary responder for medical emergencies, coordinating with external emergency services (e.g., ambulances) when necessary.

🩺 Health & Wellness Management

• Chronic Condition Support: Collaborating with families and staff to develop care plans for students with specific medical needs (e.g., diabetes, severe allergies).
• Immunization & Records: Reviewing student health entry requirements and monitoring immunization records.
• Health Education: Researching and delivering health-related talks, including Personal and Social Education (PSE) classes and first-aid training for staff and students.

🦠 Infection Control & Public Health

• Disease Monitoring: Monitoring for communicable diseases (e.g., HFMD, head lice) and ensuring appropriate quarantine or exclusion guidelines are followed.
• Authority Liaison: Liaising with local health and education authorities (e.g., Ministry of Health) during disease clusters or outbreaks.
• Sanitation & Hygiene: Advising operations teams on elevating hygiene and safety protocols during outbreaks.

🛡️ Pastoral Care & Safeguarding

• Mental & Physical Wellbeing: Researching and leading innovative initiatives that support the holistic health of the school community.
• Safeguarding: Abiding by the school’s child protection policies and actively reporting any welfare concerns to the senior pastoral team.
• Student Counseling: Working alongside the school's emotional and guidance counseling teams to support students navigating chronic or serious illnesses.

📋 Administrative & Policy Duties

• Health Centre Operations: Managing the day-to-day operations and delegated budget of the medical clinic.
• Policy Compliance: Ensuring school health policies meet clinical licensing regulations and national standards.
• Trip Risk Assessments: Reviewing and signing off on nursing coverage and medical risk assessments for outdoor education or residential field trips.

Job Requirements: Min VALID SNB & BCLS w min 2 yrs of relevant School Nurse experience/inpatient ward experience.
