• Industry/ Organization Type: Industrial Equipment Manufacturer
• Position Title: Service Sales Engineer (Retrofit)
• Working Location: Boon Lay
• Working Hours: 5 days (Mon – Fri, 8.30am – 5.30pm)
• Salary Package: Basic salary up to $4,800 + Transport Allowance + Variable Bonus
• Duration: Permanent Role

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out project design work (including selecting and sizing equipment) and support project development based on customer requirements
• Understand the HVAC work scope for bidding and tender submissions
• Conduct site surveys and take site measurements; attend pre-bid walkthroughs when needed
• Attend tender clarifications or interviews when required
• Work with the Manager to develop the project plan, budget, and schedule
• Coordinate with Sales / Customer Consultants / management to prepare project proposals, tender submissions and clarifications, and contract documents
• Work with Sales / Customer Consultants to prepare quotations and follow up on retrofit service opportunities with customers
• Track project progress regularly and prepare status reports for management
• Work with Sales / Customer Consultants and management to ensure projects are completed within the approved budget and timeline, and according to plans and specifications
• Propose cost-saving ideas while maintaining quality and productivity
• Source, liaise, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors on quotations and requirements
• Compile supplier quotations, review and compare quotations, and prepare costing sheets
• Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
• Maintain estimating records and unit costs for all projects
• Prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
• Follow company policies and workplace safety requirements to support efficient operations
• Research and recommend suitable new technologies to support project development work
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Degree / Diploma in Engineering or Building-related studies
• Relevant experience in the HVAC / ACMV industry, with working knowledge of HVAC / ACMV systems
• Knowledge of different types of HVAC systems and their components
• Able to read and understand mechanical drawings and other construction documents
• Knowledge of commercial HVAC / mechanical contracting
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience
• Project management knowledge/experience is an advantage
