Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 6.00pm
• Saturday: Half day (Once every 4 weeks)

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Speech Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in a community hospital setting. You will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, supporting their recovery and quality of life through patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional speech therapy assessment, consultation, and treatment to patients
• Develop and implement appropriate, individualised treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical assessments
• Adhere to established clinical protocols, guidelines, and procedures
• Engage patients and caregivers in discussions on therapy goals, progress, and care planning
• Provide training, guidance, and supervision to Therapy Assistants to ensure quality service delivery
• Assist in coordinating staff deployment and caseload management to support service continuity
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes

Requirements

• Recognised Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech Therapy
• Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Speech Therapist
• Prior experience in a community hospital setting is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
