• Monitor and operate IBM i (AS400) systems to ensure optimal performance and availability
• Execute, monitor, and troubleshoot batch jobs and automated schedules using scheduling tools
• Ensure jobs run within defined SLAs and escalate issues promptly when deviations occur
• Perform daily operational tasks such as system checks, backups verification, and job restarts
• Respond to system alerts, incidents, and operational issues according to SOPs Coordinate with application, infrastructure, and support teams during incidents or maintenance activities
• Maintain and update operational documentation, run books, and shift handover reports
• Support planned system maintenance, upgrades, and disaster recovery activities Follow security, compliance, and change management procedures Provide shift coverage as required (including nights, weekends, or holidays, if applicable)

Requirements:

• Basic understanding of batch processing, job dependencies, and scheduling calendars
• Working knowledge of IBM i / AS400 environment (job queues, subsystems, basic commands)
• Experience with job scheduling tools (e.g., Rocket-Zena, Control-M, CA Workload Automation or similar)
• Familiarity with incident management and escalation procedures
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow procedures accurately with strong attention to detail
• Willingness to work under 24/7 shifts and handle time-critical operations
