Our client, an UK MNC located in Boon Lay Way is looking for outstanding candidates to fill the position of Technical Service Assistant Manager (Permanent position, Salary : S$80K to S$120K PA, with benefits, such as Bonus, Annual Leave, Medical Leave, etc).

Responsibilities:

•       Provide technical services and advice to Sales, Distributors and Agents for Fuels Specialties in Asia Pacific

•       Act as regional focus for Marketing, Technical Service and special Technical Projects

•       Work closely with in-house and external independent laboratories to establish good relationships.

•       Work closely with R&D and CTS in EMEA and USA

•       Manage and maintain good data base of technical record

•       Undertake any other task assigned by AsPac CTS Team Leader

•       Visit customers and distributors/agents to conduct technical programs, training and trials

•       Conduct training of staffs / customers in test techniques and additives applications and present technical data as required.

•       Support Asia Pacific at high level technical meetings and conferences

•       Conduct tests and collate technical response are required to support customer tenders

•       Support Asia Pacific manufacturing and toll blending sites as Quality Control (QC),ensuring new and existing sites are meeting company requirements.

•       QC responsibilities include;
o   Monitoring of operations and procedures, providing technical advice when necessary.

o   Maintaining testing records and generate Certificate of Analysis (COA) in SAP system.

o   Provide QC support across 3business units, Fuel Specialties (FS), Oilfield Services (OFS) and Personal Care (PC).
•       Provide technical support in product approvals and registrations. E.g. Customer Additive Approved List, Platts, etc).

Requirements:

• Tertiary Education in Science and Engineering Subjects—preferably from university and major in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• Works in Petroleum or Chemical industries for at least 5 years, preferably with laboratory interface and knowledge in QC.
• Good Computer literacy
• Excellent Marketing Orientation
• IQ components: Analytical, skill in problem analysis and problem solving, understand chemistry, refining and QC procedures, hands-on
• EQ components: Willing to travel (possibly to remote places), culturally aware, good communicator and team worker
