JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Source, negotiate and manage freight forwarders and its services for all our deliveries.
Prepare and issue logistics/ purchase requisition.
Monitor freight forwarder’s performances and perform negotiation in all logistics activities.
Coordinate with Purchasing, Plant Logistics Team and any other related HES departments, suppliers, vendors, forwarders/ shipping agents etc.
Prepare and handle full set of shipping documents including LC documentation, Certificate of Origin, Insurances, Delivery order, packing list, debit note, release note, commercial invoice, monthly royalty report, etc.
Coordinate with Finance team on shipping payment, invoices, warranty and LC Negotiation.
Monitor and update delivery status in system on a weekly basis.
Compilation of related logistic activities and expenses report for management review.
Engagement of Marine Surveyors and coordination with Mills Quality Engineer on all delivery inspection and expediting works.
Attend weekly logistics/ supply chain meeting or any ad-hoc project/ contract meetings as required.
Interact and communicate with internal and external customers on order/ delivery status.
Other Project and ad-hoc duties as per assigned by immediate superior or management.
Actively participate and involve in appropriate development of HSE matters in areas of hazard/ incident identifications, risk assessments and determination of controls.
Ensure work activities achieved conformity to the HSE policy, objectives and procedures outlined in the HSE management system and compliance to applicable local legal requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1 to 2 years related experience in shipping and logistics industry.
Experience working with ERP, AX or other documentation software.
Experience in freight and logistic handling and letter of credit management.
