Key Responsibilities

Server & Systems Operations

• Support the administration and maintenance of Linux and Windows server environments.
• Perform routine system monitoring, patching, security checks, and basic troubleshooting.
• Assist with file server, storage, access control, and system documentation management.
• Support server setup, upgrades, and decommissioning activities in line with IT policies and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with NTU and CITS IT standards and operational procedures.

Animation Workstation & Renderfarm Support

• Provide technical support for high-performance animation workstations and studio PCs.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and performance issues related to animation and media production workflows.
• Support renderfarm operations, including render job monitoring and first-level issue resolution.
• Maintain GPU workstations, drivers, and animation software environments.
• Ensure animation labs and systems remain operational during teaching and peak project periods.

End User & IT Support

• Provide first-level IT support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Assist with software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting for Windows and macOS systems.
• Support classroom, lab, and studio IT setups when required.
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT or central IT teams where necessary.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in server and system administration.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, networking fundamentals, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Familiar with server security, backup and recovery, and hardware maintenance.
• Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments.
• Good troubleshooting, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset.
