Setting: Eye Centre / Operating Theatre

Job Scope:

• Perform scrub duties in the Operating Theatre for ophthalmic/eye surgeries.
• Prepare and check surgical instruments, equipment and consumables before procedures.
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and a sterile field throughout surgery.
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments and anticipating surgical requirements.
• Perform instrument, swab and needle counts according to OT protocols.
• Assist with OT preparation, cleaning and turnover between surgical cases.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and the OT team to ensure smooth and safe surgical procedures.
• Adhere to infection control, patient safety and hospital protocols

• Valid SNB and BCLS

• Min 6 months OT Scrub experience
