Adjunct Lecturer (Information Technology) / School of Informatics & IT

[What you will be working on]

  • Deliver engaging face-to-face and/or online lessons to full-time diploma students during scheduled teaching hours (typically 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
  • Facilitate practical learning activities, laboratory sessions, and project-based assignments to enhance student learning.
  • Assess assignments, projects, tests, and other assessments, and provide timely, constructive feedback to support student development.
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate assessment records, and contribute to the achievement of learning outcomes.
  • Mentor and guide students in developing industry-relevant technical competencies and professional skills.
  • Collaborate with fellow lecturers and subject teams to support effective curriculum delivery, review, and continuous improvement.
  • Comply with the Polytechnic’s policies, procedures, and standards relating to teaching, assessment, and academic conduct.

[What we are looking for]

  • Qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience in software development, software engineering or DevOps-related roles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas:
    • Full-Stack Web Development
      • JavaScript
      • HTML and CSS
      • React.js
      • Node.js
      • RESTful API development
      • SQL and relational databases
      • Application design, development, testing and deployment
    • DevOps Engineering
      • Git and version control workflows

      • DevOps practices and software delivery processes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for teaching, coaching and mentoring learners.
