Location: Kent Ridge

Working Hours:

any 5 days a week, 3 shift

Job details:

  • Receive and assess laboratory specimens, rejecting those unsuitable for analysis
  • Operate the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for order entry, result entry, and data retrieval
  • Perform waived and moderate complexity tests in accordance with laboratory protocols
  • Report critical values and escalate adverse incidents to appropriate personnel
  • Prepare reagents and handle materials requiring special conditions
  • Address and resolve queries from clinicians and customers
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on laboratory equipment and report malfunctions
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate reordering of reagents and supplies
  • Perform shift duties as required
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of laboratory techniques through training and workshops
  • Follow instructions from senior staff and adhere to established procedures
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory accreditation standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols
  • Assist in evaluating new laboratory test methods
  • Train and guide new staff, trainees, and junior personnel when required
  • Support administrative tasks such as filing, and processing delivery orders and invoices
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Job requirements:

  • Min Diploma in Medical Laboratory Science/ Biomedical Science / Biotechnology
  • Prior experience in Clinical Laboratory would be an advantage
