Building technician

Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections of the building, facilities, and equipment.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Repair minor defects involving doors, locks, walls, ceilings, fixtures, and fittings.
• Identify building defects and report major issues for further action.
• Carry out basic electrical inspections and minor repairs.
• Check lighting, switches, sockets, distribution boards, and other electrical equipment.
• Replace lamps, ballasts, and other approved electrical components.
• Report electrical faults requiring a licensed electrician.
• Maintain service records and checklists.
• Coordinate with contractors for specialized maintenance.
• Attend to maintenance complaints and equipment breakdowns.
• Troubleshoot faults and restore basic services where possible.

Requirements:

• Minimum NTC in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Building Maintenance
• Experience in performing simple jobs and perform basic electrical hands-on works
• Able to interpret electrical diagrams
• Able to work independently and with a good working attitude
