• Industry/ Organization Type: Marine & Diving Services
• Position Title: Business Development Manager
• Working Location: Pandan Road
• Working Hours: 5 Days, Monday – Friday (8.30am – 5.30pm)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary + Transport Allowance + Performance Bonus
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the commercial team to ensure timely, accurate, and competitive responses to customer RFQs, quotations, and commercial enquiries.
• Oversee the quotation process from preparation and submission through follow-up and negotiation, ensuring alignment with company pricing strategies, profitability targets, and commercial policies.
• Drive sales and business development activities through customer visits, presentations, proactive calls, market research, and identification of new business opportunities for company diving services.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key accounts, acting as the primary commercial contact and engaging customers to understand requirements and secure business opportunities.
• Engage customers on complex maintenance and repair requirements to clarify scope, propose value-added solutions, and negotiate suitable commercial terms with customers and vendors.
• Monitor and manage the sales pipeline, quotation conversion, revenue, margins, and win/loss performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
• Work closely with the Operations and Finance teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to execution and support follow-up of outstanding accounts receivable.
• Lead, coach, and develop the commercial team through performance reviews, training, mentoring, and effective workload management to ensure productivity and service quality.
• Prepare and provide regular commercial reports and updates covering quotation activities, sales pipeline, key accounts, Fleet Service Agreement (FSA) contracts, customer feedback, and business performance.
• Support the Commercial Director in commercial strategy, pricing, market positioning, and regional business growth, while monitoring industry trends and competitor activities.

• Diploma or Degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Maritime, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in commercial management, sales, business development, or a related role, preferably within the marine, offshore, diving, engineering, or ship-repair industry.
• Proven experience in RFQ/quotation management, commercial negotiations, pricing, contract management, and sales pipeline development.
• Strong track record in business development and customer relationship management, with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to monitor sales performance, margins, KPIs, market trends, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Possess own transport is an added advantage.
