Job Description

• Industry/ Organization Type: Manufacturer for Semi-Con Industry
• Position Title: CAD Draftman
• Working Location: Seletar Aerospace
• Working Hours: 5 days (Mon-Fri: 8am-5.30pm)
• Salary Package: Basic + VB
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Drafting, Assembly and Part Modelling:
• Create 2D and 3D models for mechanical parts and assemblies based on project requirements
• Convert concepts or sketches into detailed CAD drawings with high accuracy
• Prepare manufacturing drawings with dimensions, material details, and tolerances
• Design parts and assemblies to ensure proper fitting and function
• Perform virtual assembly checks to identify design issues or conflicts
• Create exploded views and simple animations for assembly reference
• Material and Component Selection, Bill of Materials (BOM) Creation:
• Assist in selecting suitable materials based on project needs
• Apply material properties such as strength, weight, and flexibility in designs
• Prepare and update Bill of Materials (BOM) with required parts and specifications

• Minimum ITE or Diploma in CAD Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Proficient in SolidWorks for 2D drafting and 3D modelling
• Experience in part design, assembly, and detailed drawing preparation
• Knowledge of tolerances, fits, and basic engineering principles
• Familiarity with sheet metal or weldment design is an advantage
• Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining) is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and able to work with cross-functional teams
