Key Responsibilities

Agreement and Contract Preparation

• Maintain and help prepare and compile agreements, including non-disclosure agreements, major construction tenders and professional service agreements, with appropriate risk mitigation.

• Work with standard industry forms of contract such as RDAS, SIA, PSSCOC, FIDIC Silver Book and FIDIC Yellow Book, and other forms.

• Maintain and help prepare and compile contract documents, both main contracts and subcontracts.

Negotiation and Risk Mitigation

• Assist in negotiations with counterparties, where applicable.

• Take part in mitigation processes in line with the organisation's standard operating procedures.

Contract Tracking

• Create and/or follow contract and document tracking requirements.

Internal Collaboration and Support

• Attend and take part in department and group meetings, staying current on department and group projects, goals and issues.

• Collaborate proactively with internal team members and other Boustead operational groups and stakeholders to share and apply best practices, playbooks, policies, procedures and contract templates.

• Give internal stakeholders information on department processes, procedures and contract development when requested, including developing and presenting training materials.

Requirements 

Education and Accreditation

• Bachelor's degree related to Quantity Surveying (major in Mechanical and/or Electrical) or equivalent.

• Chartered Surveyor accreditation from a recognised institution or association (e.g. RICS, AIQS) strongly preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a comparable role in a construction consultancy firm, such as a QS consultancy, expert witness practice or law firm.

• Primarily in construction of semiconductor and/or data center projects.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• Strong contract administration and negotiation skills across a variety of agreement types.

• Familiar with claims and the SOP Act (Security of Payment Act).

• Conversant with Microsoft Office, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams and Adobe.

Soft Skills

• Strong interpersonal skills; builds close working relationships and collaborates with internal and external contacts at all levels.

• Keeps a problem-solving approach when working with internal and external contacts.

• Demonstrated presentation skills.

• Strong organisational skills; follows projects through and handles a large volume of contracts efficiently.

• Meticulous, with an eye for detail.
