Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and driven Cost Manager to join our team and deliver high-quality cost management services across a range of building and infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise, a strong client-facing approach, and proven capability as a MEP cost consultant

    Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Cost Estimates and Bills of Quantities across all project stages, from feasibility through to completion.

• Lead Value Engineering exercises to identify cost efficiencies without compromising design intent or quality.

• Manage the full tendering process, including preparation of tender documents, evaluation of submissions, and preparation of recommendation reports.

• Administer contracts in line with agreed conditions, advising clients on contractual matters and obligations.

• Assess, negotiate, and manage Change Orders with accurate documentation and timely resolution.

• Drive Final Account close-out, reconciling all project costs and preparing final cost reports for clients.

• Provide specialist MEP cost consultancy advice throughout the project lifecycle, from concept design through post-contract administration.

• Prepare and present regular cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and cost-to-complete analyses to clients and stakeholders.

• Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and project managers to ensure cost alignment with project goals.

• Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practice development within the team.

Requirements 

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management/Engineering, or an equivalent recognised qualification. 

• Minimum 6–12 years' progressive experience in Cost Management or related fields within the construction industry.

• Demonstrable experience functioning as a MEP Cost Consultant, with strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and their associated costs

• Candidates with combined experience in both infrastructure and building projects are strongly preferred.
