• Industry/ Organization Type: ICT Services Provider (Data Centre)
• Position Title: General Manager
• Working Location: North-East Region
• Working Hours: 5 Days, Monday – Friday (9am – 6pm)
• Salary Package: Basic Salary + AWS + Variable Bonus
• Duration: Permanent

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily data centre operations to ensure continuous uptime, reliability, and service availability.
• Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Lead incident management processes, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage and monitor critical systems such as UPS, generators, cooling systems, BMS, etc.
• Plan and coordinate preventive maintenance, shutdowns, and infrastructure upgrade activities.
• Manage vendors and contractors, ensuring performance meets agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
• Oversee contract management, including renewals, negotiations, and compliance with procurement policies.
• Evaluate vendor performance regularly and recommend improvements or alternative solutions.
• Maintain strong relationships with external partners to ensure seamless support and service delivery.
• Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and IT infrastructure.
• Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor facility capacity and resource utilization and plan for future expansion needs.
• Drive initiatives to improve energy efficiency and optimize operational costs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data centre engineers and technicians.
• Plan and manage staffing schedules to ensure smooth 24/7 operational coverage,
• Conduct audits and risk assessments to maintain compliance.
• Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates, reports, and coordination with internal teams.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in data centre operations, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of data centre infrastructure management, including electrical, mechanical, and IT systems.
• Experience in data centre design, implementation, and operations management.
• Familiar with servers, racks, cooling systems, power systems, and storage infrastructure.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as ISO 27001 and related compliance requirements.
• Proven leadership and people management skills to effectively lead teams in a high-availability environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capable with budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning.
• Ability to develop and implement processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance.
